Storm International, which manages gambling and entertainment facilities around the world and in the CIS region, announced its operating results for 2017. Compared to the previous year, revenues increased by 12%, while net income increased by almost 15%, says Storm International.
"In the reporting year, the greatest growth was shown by Shangri La in Tbilisi – we have 21%, and Shangri La in Yerevan with an outstanding 48%", Darren Keane, Storm International CEO said. Because of the strong management of Storm International, the main reason for the active development of these markets is an increase in the flow of foreign customers, who continue to discover Georgia and Armenia as attractive destinations for game tourism. Last year, the number of international flights doubled both in the direction of Tbilisi and Yerevan."
In addition, in November 2017, Storm International opened the fourth Shangri La, Darren Keane said that this is a SL Casino in Riga. The new casino in Riga started working in the VIP niche. This is due to the fact that VIP institutions in Latvia are not so numerous. In general, the country's market is full and there are many strong operators in it.
Also, last year the company took the first step in the development of online business by launching an online casino project PlayShangriLa.com. Online casino Shangri La started its work in April 2017. The license for the online casino is issued by a strict European operator of MGA. The site has 1000+ popular licensed games.
In 2016, the company sold entertainment complexes in Mexico. This was done in order to concentrate on one geographical region and develop a single casino brand - Shangri La.
Storm International was established in 1992. Manages objects in Germany, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia and Latvia, and also develops online casinos.
